Now that the weather has turned, I did a vineyard walk. The buds are starting to swell, and I saw about 6 of the grape flee beetles, which means I need to start my spray program. A few years ago we had a grape growers’ forum and I now would like feedback from the members to see if we should initiate another meeting in the near future. Please send me a short email if you have an interest.

 

The Wine and Food pairing is our May meeting and I hope you all have signed up. It should be a great experience with WCTC preparing and serving the wine and food. At the mee8ng, your 2018/2019 Board of Directors will also be introduced.

 

Attached with this newsletter is the sign‐up form for the June 2nd Advanced Fermentation Seminar. Michael Jones from Scott Labs is not only a very knowledgeable speaker, he is also entertaining. His main topic will be cider making but he will also discuss yeast tools and the use of enzymes from cold soaking to pre‐bottling. Please join us for this seminar.
